A roof replacement is among the largest maintenance investments most Taos, NM homeowners will make in their property, and the quality of work performed during that investment determines how long it will be before the decision must be faced again. At Titan Roofing Service, we approach every replacement project as an opportunity to give your property a complete, properly engineered roofing system that delivers maximum performance and service life, not merely a cosmetic refresh that looks good for a few years before problems emerge.
Our replacement process begins with a thorough structural assessment before any materials are ordered or installation dates are scheduled. We inspect the complete roof deck to identify areas of rot, delamination, or insufficient sheathing thickness, as well as any structural members in the framing below that may affect installation. Decking repairs are addressed before new roofing is installed, because fastening into compromised sheathing produces inadequate holding strength that reduces the wind uplift resistance of the entire system. We provide unit pricing for any decking replacement that becomes necessary so there are no billing surprises at project completion.
Material selection is guided by the specific performance requirements of your property, your budget, and the expected ownership period you are planning for. For most Taos, NM residential properties, architectural asphalt shingles in the mid to premium range represent the best balance of cost, longevity, and aesthetic quality. For properties with specific requirements including high wind exposure, severe hail history, or a preference for the maximum available service life, we discuss impact-resistant shingles, metal roofing systems, and other alternatives that may justify their higher initial cost over the ownership period. We provide written comparisons of relevant options when the decision is not straightforward.
Installation is performed by our licensed crews using manufacturer-specified methods that satisfy warranty requirements. Underlayment selection, starter strip placement, nailing pattern adherence, and valley and flashing installation details all directly affect both performance and the validity of manufacturer warranty coverage. We do not take shortcuts on installation details to accelerate project pace, because every detail left undone properly becomes a potential future failure point on your roof.
At project completion, we provide you with a complete documentation package including manufacturer warranty registration information, our workmanship guarantee terms, a written project record, and before and after photography. Our crew performs thorough site cleanup including magnetic nail collection before leaving your property. Contact our team to schedule a replacement assessment for your Taos, NM property and receive a detailed written estimate covering all labor, materials, and permit costs.
